Looks good so far.
But it's better to make the  block Random Gallery Images  smaller or less images.
The page is wider then the header ..

Have you set a fixed width for you forum (theme settings) ?

Hi Fel

The Forum Width is set to auto re-size.

I'm not sure how to set PortaMX to auto re-size, as I couldn't find any settings, or maybe I'm looking in the wrong section of the admin area.

Code Select
Action on Panelsize overflow: Lets do the browser
Action on Panelsize overflow: clip at frame

I tried both settings above, but still get the same result on lower screen resolutions.

Its currently set to "Lets do the browser"

I'm sure its the block code below that won't re-size.
Quoteglobal $sourcedir;
   loadLanguage('MGallery');
   @include_once($sourcedir . '/Subs-MGallery.php');
   echo smg_item_list(getMediaItems(0, 4, 'RAND()'), false, '', true);

P.S. I found that the PortaMX frontpage is SEO Friendly (Page 1 Rankings for my site) and ability to place Blocks on individual boards, Brilliant.

Thank you for a wonderful Portal for SMF.

Change the block code to
Code Select

  global $sourcedir;
  loadLanguage('MGallery');
  @include_once($sourcedir . '/Subs-MGallery.php');
  echo '<div style="overflow:auto;">';
  echo smg_item_list(getMediaItems(0, 4, 'RAND()'), false, '', true);
  echo '</div>';

Then you can scroll the block content horizontally.

Thanks Fel

I replaced the code to the block with the new one.

Unfortunately still seems to have the same resizing problem.
Don't worry too much about it.

I see Nao is releasing a replacement Gallery this weekend with portal support. (API function)
Aeva Media 1.0
I'll most likely swap over to it in the near future.

P.S.
I noticed you are helping out with SimpleSEF, to get help his code right for use with PortaMX.

Its a pity about his comment about your portal.
I believe PortaMX is developing faster, has greater expandability, and is more user friendly than any of the other ones he mentioned.

After my little rant:
I have been using Pretty Urls, and was wondering if there is any advantage to use SimpleSEF on my forum, or are they both much the same.

Pretty URL works, but is a little bit old .. bad support, to many changes an source files.
SimpleSEF is small, fast and easy to use .. and the .htaccess is simple.

Hi Fel
I'm still unable to get the forum to re-size correctly, so I'll try a clean install tomorrow and see if that will fix it.

Also I noticed that one of my forum admin settings stopped working properly, so it might be related to my earlier Server outage.

Thanks for you help

P.S. I'll have a look at SimpleSEF while I'm re-installing the mods also.

Many thanks for your help, it is greatly appreciated.

Thanks Fel
I'll keep an eye out for the next release of SinpleSEF.

P.S.
I've re-installed my forum and still getting the same resizing issue, but don't worry about it. I'm very happy with the results as they are.  :)

All the best for Christmas.

Hi Fel

Just to let you know the resizing issue seems to be fixed with Aeva alpha 2 installed.

The code block below if anyone wants it
Code Select
  global $sourcedir;
  @include_once($sourcedir . '/Aeva-Subs.php');
  echo aeva_listItems(aeva_getMediaItems(0, 4, 'rand()'));
