Ticket based help desk installed

Today we installed the SimpleDesk ticket based help desk, which is available for all Member (not for Guests).

Up from now, you can Post all issues (Bugs/Features) on the Helpdesk and we move Topics from the Bug Report and Feature Request boards to the Helpdesk. These boards are closed in the next time. Note, that we move a ticked back to the Forum, if is not a bug report or feature request.

You find the link in the Home button dropdown -> Helpdesk.

We hope, that this will help us and all users, to get a better and better support and it's a good point, to promote PortaMx.

I'm not feeling the help desk.

I like the project tracker that you installed. It is more suited to bug reports then a help desk.

It gives a view at confirmed bugs and is more open than a private help desk. Plus it gives us more advance users the chance to collaborate on what is going on and maybe give a helping hand. If I spot anything I will gladly help, I will not however join the team(can't get committed to projects at this time), but I will give my help.

Keep the project tracker dump the help desk.

Hmm ... yes and no   :)
The project tracker it's a MUST HAVE for us and we have spend many, many time to remove all the bugs on it.

The Helpdesk we will use primary for reporting errors they not can detected as a bug (replacement for the Bug Report boards).
With this have a central area, who we save all what reported by the member, who we can move topics TO the Helpdesk or FROM the Helpdesk to Topics. That is a fantastic feature.
Also we can discuss the problem internal on the Helpdesk, what the member can't see.  8)  That can't be done in a normal topic.
