excuse me, Feline?

My comment was that - if you feel it is important - and you think you have a good way of doing it - and you wish to contribute to the SMF community - then feel free to submit a pull request to the SMF repository on GitHub with your cookie solution.

How am I being blind by saying that?
Also... the topic was closed due to Johan's continual crap... not you. However your attack on me in a silly thread about cookies/biscuits was uncalled for.

You are correct, SMF does not currently have an EU cookie warning in the core product.
However, neither does SMF *HAVE* to have that...  especially since there are several mods to do it (and it is indeed up to each administrator to make sure that their site is in compliance with any local laws.

It wouldn't be a bad idea to have it.
As I have said, several times now...   please contribute your solution to the 2.1 repository and make the product better for everyone, across the world.

first of all - I did not put you on moderation. You were very insulting toward me... but that was done by someone else.
second of all - the directors of simple machines have no moderation powers.... only the smf team does.  Do not confuse the two, they are separate things.

I do not care WHO has put me on moderation.
It is THE only interesting, I get a lock .. and I do not even know what and why.
But you probably should not represent his own opinion to SMF ...

You actually think that I'm working FOR SMF?

We had now already .. but respond only me, I should not hesitate to take the examination of the modifications, tell me that I'm team member ... and then .. nothing of that.
I do not need anyone of the hand and takes me to tell with how to write programs or programs that can check.
I've been doing most of my life ...

No thanks .. I will no longer help SMF SMF 2.1 to make the project better.
Since SMF, must meet FAR my first time, before I even think about it ..

Well, hang on one second here.

We asked if you were interested in joining the customization team.
You said yes.
We placed you into the apprentice team member category - which every single team member has gone through.
You threw a hissy fit and demanded that we either immediately give you team access or you were not interested.
We said, fine...  and - as you requested, retracted your apprenticeship and the offer to join the team.

Let's be perfectly clear.
You demanded special treatment.
We said no.
You felt this was not good enough

The SMF team did not do anything wrong.
I am certain that everyone, including those who may have many other issues with decisions of the team, will agree here.
*YOU* demanded special treatment which no other team member has been granted and got upset when we said no.

So... I am tired of your insults and your attitude.
I came here to correct your apparent misinterpretation of facts.
I have also been one of your biggest supporters to the team, despite your pathetic attitude....
I am uncertain what you mean by your last line... but why don't *YOU* get off your bloody high horse and join the rest of us back on Earth?
(and you might want to grow up, while you're at it. You're acting worse than my teenage daughter when we tell her she can't do something)

Well, I have my own opinion and a concrete opinion. That there are a few people exists who can not handle this, I am aware and those who can not do it, can just leave.

However, when I see how the development of SMF running, I'm very concerned.

SMF 2.1 is a collection of old code, new code, spiced up with some jQuery frills. I see many problems, weaknesses and bugs in the code.

But that's not surprising when I see which persons are working on the development. I do not see any professional programmer who has appropriate experience and also has the experience with programming and database technology. The people who have this experience, no longer work for SMF, but in other projects

To SMF 3.0 .. Since nothing happens for months and it is expected that this version will probably never come.

All in all, I see black for SMF if not soon someone comes and pushes things forward. At the current time, I do not see any progress ...

well....   SMF development is open. As I have said a number of times - feel free to contribute to the repository on GitHub and contribute to the software and the community.

Feline - I have said this a number of times - and it was one of the reasons that I sponsored you to the team.
You are a good coder (although you are not quite as good as you think you are)
However, your biggest major failing is your attitude - which has apparently gotten to the point where it exceeds your talent, and even I can't excuse it any more

Quite honestly, if you had been willing to put aside the prima donna attitude and work with the team and within the established protocols, there is every chance that you would have breezed through the apprenticeship period in record time, worked on customization for a bit and taken over development as the lead dev....
However, your continuing prima donna attitude and your demanding immediate and special treatment has proven that you are incapable of accepting the talent of others and incapable of working on an actual team. I truly feel sorry for that, as I would have liked to see what you could do.

Fossil....   please.
PortaMX is incredibly powerful.

it does a great job of being a fully functional (and then some) portal.

The only problem with PortaMX is that the user interface was designed by a developer with no concept of how "normal" people need/want a UI/UX, so it is not easy for non-developer types to figure out how to do things within the portal.

We prefer a more complexed settings, so any (Power user or Simple user) can use our Portal.
Normally it's not necessary to use all the extended settings, this is a part for Power user or people the know what she want. Any one they is not totally blind can read the help we added to the most setting functions. And if that not helps, he can post the question in our Support Forum (same as SMF do).
If all this so bad as you claims, then I wonder me, why many people use our Products.

But that all is no reason to badmouth this.
