The PortaMx corp. proudly presence the first release candidate of the great Portal Management Extension for SMF 2.0 RC2 ...

PortaMx supports all the new "Curve" theme styles and have a switch to show blocks in the old "core" style.
We have also add a lot of new features, like fixed height block settings, "First in collapse/expand" blocks and panels, deny access settings for each block and much more.

Have many fun with the great new PortaMx

Hi Great,
does this also work with the older RC1.2 version ?

I am still thinking, if it worth for me to pay charter memberships ?
Hmm..

Do you know, when RC2 will be released to the public ?
Is it only 2 or 3 days away or more ?

I need to build up a new domain and want to use RC2 , so I might buy
a charter membership, if it is more than 3 days away...Hmm..

I don't know when a public version is released. But I think, not in the next weeks ....

I don't know when the public RC2 will be out. We were short a couple of devs due to life circumstances interfering but we have one of them back now, so that's good. It's a problem being a volunteer, unpaid organisation. Life sometimes gets in the way. I expect we will have a public RC2 in the next fortnight but that is just a guess so don't quote it as a timeline.
Using Internet Explorer 6 on the internet is like urinating in a public swimming pool.
It's rude, there's no excuse for it, and anyone who does it should be ashamed of themselves.

Uff,
okay, I will probably get a chartermember soon
as I want to support the SMF developers, but when
I will buy the membershiip, why will I have to wait 7 days to download
RC2 ?
I want to have it instantly to test out my new site... Hmmm....
this is a downer.....why the long wait ???

Besides, you have to wait for 7 days after becoming a charter-member before you could download the RC2.  ;)

That's new ... is it fact ?

Yes it is a fact. The problem was that some people were paying for Charter Membership via Paypal, then downloading the latest release as soon as they had access, then filing a disputed payment claim with Paypal as soon as they had the download on their desktop.

The result was a lot of extra work for the SMF staff, and SMF getting screwed out of a lot of money. As a result of this the seven day limit was introduced. Basically, by the time you get the download your money is safely in the SMF bank account and Paypal can go to hell. ;)

Too bad,
I wanted to pay it today and get it today.

Is there no other way to get it already now, if I pay the charter membership ?

I will not cancel any PayPal payments...!

Hi Fel,
are the German UTF-8 languages for RC2 and PortaMX 0.970 not ready yet ?
I am missing them in the PortaMx Language Manager...

There is only the English UTF-8 version.
Many thanks.

Hi Fel,
can I somehow help you with this ?

What are the problems with it ?

Will without the GErman UTF-8 fonts the German language not work ?
Or only the PMX functions not work ?

Many thanks.

Of course you can install SMF german utf8 for RC2.
Set the forum default language to german and your admin accout (in your profile) to english, the you have no problem to administrate PortaMx (but only in english)
All output from Portmx is in english ...
