Oh, very cool. I like. :) Nice work, Fel.
Using Internet Explorer 6 on the internet is like urinating in a public swimming pool.
It's rude, there's no excuse for it, and anyone who does it should be ashamed of themselves.

Hi Feline,

Is this backward compatible to 2.0 RC 1.2?

Can older themes work with the new version? Becuase I was working hard on my own theme.
Well, it is possible for an old theme to work but it would take a little doing. Mainly putting everything is the index.css file and including the templates just to make sure there was no glitches. However, you would have to make the edits for Porta manually and the jscript is not going to work. It would be easier to just port your theme to the new version ;)

No, PortaMx v0.970 is't compatible with RC1.x

It has been completely recoded for RC2.

Hi,
I have a few questions:

1. when will be the RC2 version out for normal user, who are not charter members ?

2. Are there already other color versions available for the Curve theme ?

3. Will SMFads Mod work with RC2 already ?

4. When will PortaMX 9.70 Beta be released ?

I need to know, when I can update my sites with all
the new softwares..
Many thanks.

Regards, Stefan.

1. when SMF it's have ready  ;)

2. Antechinus have made 3 other colored curve themes (see you here)

3. I dont known .. call the author

4. PortaMx 0.970 will released to all, if a RC2 version for all available

Note, that on a update to RC2 all mods are lost and not all mods for RC1 works with RC2.
Themes for RC1 do never works with RC2.

Thanks for the quick reply.

What is the price for the charter members ?

Have you released PortaMX 0.970 already for the charter members too ?

Or should we wait, until the new RC2 is out for all users ?

Where can we get the new Themes from Antechinus ?

I also need the SMFads MOD
or maybe you can add blocks between postings in the next PortaMX versions ?

I would really love to have this directly in PortaMX so I can get rid of the SMFads Mod,
which is pretty outdated already..

The less Mods to have the better for the stability of the site...

So I only use PortaMX, Sitemap , DownloadMOD and SMFAds.

Join the Charter member group on SMF, cost 49€ / year

Yes, PortaMx 0.970 Beta is available for Charter Member
(join charter member on PortaMx and on SMF community send a PM to feline)

You can wait or not .. RC2 works mostly stable, but a lot of smaller bugs exist

The themes you can get only if you have access to the charter Member board on SMF
(http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=341233.0)

No, I never add blocks between postings

Fel

Well, I would not mind having one Google Adsense TEXT ad
between each 3rd or 4th posting each.

As the people are getting ad blindness, when ads are
at the boarders, people only click ads, when they are
directly between the content  postings..

So if you make it not too many ads on the page and only
TEXT ads, then it is okay and will bring you much more revenue,
than the banners at the borders.

I tested it all already out at overunity.com

The secret is to really integrate the text ads with the same
fonts and don´t make them too annoying for the members
or only show them to guests and not to members...

You have multiple options, but at the boarders they are not much clicked.

Regards, Stefan.
