I have installed two new themes from DzinerStudio, the DS-Natural and OverViewLight. Looks both great  :)

Also I switch the base theme for all user to ds-natural.

now it´s working again.
1) could not use the quick replay. could not type anything inside the box.
2) as you see in the post letters come up in wrong direction, i´ve not typed that way.

Usually DS themes have the font set in px by default. I'm just checking Overview Light and it hasn't been changed.

Bikken does tend to favour very small text. For some people a slightly larger text is beneficial.

Anyway nice change from the SMF default. You may be interested in this. Theme zip is available in that post.

I'll be doing menus for DS-Natural sometime this week too. Of course there are stacks of other menus available but I like these ones myself.

I have changed that on all themes.
SMF have set the fontsize to RELATIVE values .. thats it not so good if you have cascaded divisions.

I uses this in ds-natural and overviewlight:
Code Select
/* Default font sizes: small (8pt), normal (10pt), and large (14pt). */
.smalltext {
font-size: 8pt;
font-family: tahoma, sans-serif;
}

.middletext {
line-height: 18px;
text-indent: 10px;
}

.normaltext {
font-size: 10pt;
}

.largetext {
font-size: 14pt;
}

This is a simple test with cascaded divisons/span and relative fontsize.

html:
Code Select
<html>
<header>
<style type="text/css">
<!--
.smalltext {
font-size: 0.8em;
font-family: verdana, sans-serif;
}
-->
</style>
</header>
<body>
Test cascaded divisions
<div class="smalltext">
1. division
<div class="smalltext">
2. division
<div class="smalltext">
3. division
</div>
</div>
</div>

Test cascaded spans<br />
<span class="smalltext">
1. span<br />
<span class="smalltext">
2. span<br />
<span class="smalltext">
3. span
</span>
</span>
</span>

</body>
</html>

The result:

Fel
Many are stubborn in relation to the way, but less in relation to the target.

I have checked out both OverView, but only the lightDS works. In the Dark version no dopdown menu shown, and the menubar is complete muddle  ???

That's weird, because I zipped it after copying the working files straight from my local. I'll download that zip and test it again just to make sure.

Fel, I checked that zip and it seems fine. Are you sure it wasn't just a faulty installation or maybe a cache/cookies problem?

I did it last night.  ;D

So far I've done Darkbreak, DS-Natural, Overview (Dark and Light) and Silent Wave.
Outline and Mystic Jade are next.

Now I have  tested;

DS-NaturalDM, OverViewDM and OverViewLightDM.

Looks 98% perfect  ;)
Why the two percent discount ?
- one for the  misplaced Adminmenu toggle
- one for the relative fontsize

Fontsize is better to set as absolute (pt or px, NOT em, ex):
Code Select
/* Default font sizes: small (8pt), normal (10pt), and large (14pt). */
.smalltext {
font-size: 8pt;
}

.middletext {
line-height: 18px;
text-indent: 10px;
}

.normaltext {
font-size: 10pt;
}

.largetext {
font-size: 14pt;

For the Adminmenu toggle add on each Theme to the end of style.css follow:
Code Select
/* the menu dropdown toggle image */
#menu_toggle
{
float: right;
margin-right: 10px;
margin-top: 4px;
}
#menu_toggle span
{
position: relative;
right: 5000px;
}
#menu_toggle .mirrortab_first {
background: none !important;
}
#menu_toggle .mirrortab_last {
background: none !important;
}
#menu_toggle .mirrortab_back {
background: #e0e3ef;
border: 1px solid #c0c0c0;
padding: 3px 4px 1px 4px;
display: block;
}

Now .. we have 100 percent  ;D

You should post those tips over at Dziner Studio. Bikken wont mind if it makes the theme better.

Just a note for anyone who has grabbed the drop menus themes from DS. I've found a handy bit of javascript that eliminates the waiting time for the drop menu images to render if someone arrives at the site with a clear cache.

Details are in this post.

Thanks, I have read that .. not bad idea  ;)

I think, it's a simpler way, to put the images on a array (theme depended).
Then the preload function can be always the same on all themes ...
(less to wrote, less bugs)  ;)
