Because the SMF development team, don't love our work on SMF 2.1, we start our own Forum release.   ;)

We added a lot of new features (like the Lightbox Image / Gallery viewer), better looks Quotes in the sceditor and many other ..
Also we found a lot of bugs, the not fixed by SMF, so we do that ..

This is the first release that worked mostly complete, but we continue our work on bug and updates continue.
As we see, the upgrade process from SMF 2.0 to 2.1 works not completely .. so most of attachments are lost. This we will fix next weeks ..

We post all updates, we make on our Github release.

NOTE: If you will test this PortaMx - Forum, you can download this on Github.
Please use the Branch portamx to get the latest PortaMx-Forum release.

You can visit our test forum on http://forum.portamx.com/ to see it in action.

Also we work an on a new PortaMx Virgo release for the PortaMx-Forum .. comming soon as possible  ;)

Just I found a post from 12 July 2011 on SMF with say ...

Currently, 2.1 development has started, along with a few preparations for 3.0.

5 Years and SMF 2.1 is a Beta release .. and 3.0 .. is dead.

I love SMF  ;D

I think in the few weeks we work on the forum system, we have more done as SMF in all the years  O0

Because we have worked hard on the PortaMx Forum, we can say that we now near to the first RC   O0

We still need a series of tests, but we are very confident that this successful run ...

It would be very helpful if our users test this version and give us feed back ..
