Discussing with my co-admin, about the order in which the Boxes appear on the site, we came across the idea of "Sticky" and "Free" boxes;

Eg. Sticky boxes are stuck in place, while "Free" boxes are able to be re-arranged on a personal preference, for each member.

Let's say, member Sue likes her blocks to be "Subforums, User, Recent Topics" while member Zan likes his blocks to be "User, Stats, Subforums, Donate"

If the blocks were "Free" standing, then the members could all re-arrange their locations to suit how they like them personally, while those that are "Stickied" are unable to be rearranged. The option for "sticky" or "free" would be in the options section when filling out the box information.

The way it's arranged in Administration would be the "Default" of how it appears, before being arranged to fit personal tastes.

... Is this doable?

A feature like this (internal called as "designed frontpage") is planned for a later release.

Is that focused entirely on personally designing the front page, or will it be able to happen with all panels?

Any updates on this one?
SimplePortal has such a modification: http://simpleportal.net/index.php?topic=3990.0  but it's not compatible anymore. I loved it though.

No updates .. we have to wait what comes from SMF before we start a new release.
Currently we make only bug fixing for all our products...
