Hi.  I'm new and so I'm groping around here.  I hope this is the correct support area.

I just installed PMX Blog onto my SMF 2.0.11 forum (default theme).  Installation seemed to go smoothly; there are no forum errors. Well, while I'm thinking about it,  there was one weird thing that happened...  the redirect.  It never actually happened.  Instead, there was the text from the file installdone.html (and all the HTML tags in that file were visible, as well, but it never did redirect.  I'm not sure how I actually did stumble onto the Blog settings, but I kept clicking until I landed there.   :)

I did go to Admin-->Features and Options and the blog is enabled.  I do see Blogs on the menu.  I'm able to access the PmxBlog Admin settings (and although I'm a bit confused about those, still, that seems okay.  The problem is when I choose "Create Your Blog".  On the far right, I see "Blog Not Active".  (I'm attaching a screenshot.)

Can anyone explain why this is happening?  Thanks so much.

Is this blog unsupported, then?  If so, I guess I'll just uninstall it.  I'm not a developer; if the people who present this to the public can't weigh in on matters like this, an every-day forum owner certainly can't be expected to troubleshoot the code.  Thanks....   I guess.   :(

Na .. pmxblog is a very old tool, but it's worked.
If you have pmxblog correctly installed, go to PmxBlog Admin, fill in all settings.
Now you can create your blog ..
click on Blogs .. then Create your blog .. fill in the settings, check enable blog, save.
Now you can create categories and articles in your blog.

Note: if you have PortaMx installed and SEF is enabled, then you must exclude pmxblog from SEF.
To do this, go to SEF setting and enter on Actions they ignored: pmxblog

Hope this helps ...
Many are stubborn in relation to the path, a few in relation to the target.

Hi, thanks so much for your reply.

I can't understand why, but the settings weren't being saved.   I kept changing them and clicking "Save" but, because they wouldn't save, I kept getting "Blog Not Active".  I started over and was finally able to get them to save and then the message went away.

Thank you again for your help.  Things seem okay, for now.   :)
