I was thinking of biting the bullet and upgrading tonight to smf 2.0 rc1 and ofcourse portaMX 0.955 one of my main concerns is will MidnightSunV2 still work properly after the upgrade?

I love it too much to part with it hehe....

Yup, although it'll need a little bit of tweaking in the profile css. Nothing major.

I'm actually redoing it for RC1 anyway because I keep getting more ideas but you can use the existing version.
Using Internet Explorer 6 on the internet is like urinating in a public swimming pool.
It's rude, there's no excuse for it, and anyone who does it should be ashamed of themselves.

Excellent, great news indeed. I think I'm going to hold off though for your RC1 version. It's already by far the best theme out their in my opinion so interested to see what else you plan to do with it! ^_^

Well as you know I have been using the theme as well with heavy modification and Slushies images. The one thing I can't seem to fix is in the spacing. Whenever the post is edited it forces everything to the right. There needs to be more vertical height. I am attaching some clips. Seems to show fine in the default SMF theme but has a problem in the Midnight theme. Any idea on how to fix this and where to find it? Also would like the forum full width without the borders. Is there a way I can change that in the css or is it more complicated than that?

I love the theme and want to keep messing about with it. Thank you for any ideas you can provide...  :)

Ok I'll sort that as soon as I get time to finish the RC1 version.

You can set the width in the wrapper class in style.css.

remove this code from the css

Code Select

/* All the signatures used in the forum.  If your forum users use Mozilla, Opera, or Safari, you might add max-height here ;). */
.signature
{
  width: 100%;
  overflow: auto;
  padding-bottom: 3px;
  line-height: 1.3em;
}

Have you tested that in all browsers?

Tested in FireFox, Opera, Konqueror and Galeon. The only one it doesn't seem to fix in is Galeon. But how many people actually use that anyways? ;p

Not sure about ie or other browsers don't have them.

Here a profile.css for MidnightSun, that looks better.
Copy the file into the /css folder ..

Many are stubborn in relation to the way, but less in relation to the target.
