So I wonder what happened to RC1? I am a Charter Member of SMF but we have not had any real news either. It seems to me as if the developers have "bitten off more than they can chew"  ::) considering the Beta 1 version of 2.0 came out on 25th August 2007!

I don't think they're out of their depth at all.
Using Internet Explorer 6 on the internet is like urinating in a public swimming pool.
It's rude, there's no excuse for it, and anyone who does it should be ashamed of themselves.

Perhaps I phrased that wrong. It's not a question of them being out of their "depth" at all.

Yeah it has been a long time but you don't want them to rush and doing something wrong do you?

Yes and no.   0.952 will work with RC1 but there are a few glitches I think. I haven't actually tested it yet but Fel gave it a run. I'll set up a test site and see what happens.

So some Charter Member already have the SMF 2.0 RC1 version ?

Why isn´t this used yet on the Simplemachines.org site yet ?

They still run Beta4 there.

Regards, Stefan.

It works .. but not at all .. I found many things, they need to change and to fix.
That all (and more) is done with the next release.

It's better, you use not 0.952 on a RC1 for a open site.

Many are stubborn in relation to the way, but less in relation to the target.

SMF Community does not use Beta 4. Forget what it says in the copyright. What actually runs there is the latest development edition. It has been this way for ages.
